Oct, 11, 2025 Episode 1: forged in the warp - Hellglazer
Ross (@Hellglazer) began his miniature painting journey back in Warhammer 40,000’s 3rd edition with a Blood Angels army. After a few years in the hobby, life, university, and work commitments pulled him away from the painting desk.
Just before the pandemic, Ross found his way back to miniature painting — this time for good. Rediscovering the joy of the hobby and finding support from the online painting community gave him fresh motivation to improve his craft. In pursuit of building a striking army, he followed Darren Latham’s iconic Silver Skulls project, which not only gave him valuable practice but also built confidence in producing models he was proud of.
Today, Ross is focused on a slow-grow Dark Angels army while also taking on a new challenge: painting for competition. With Golden Demon now on the horizon, his painting journey has shifted from casual army building to pushing personal boundaries of technique, patience, and creativity.
Through painting, Ross has found both a creative outlet and a way to connect with others who share the same passion — turning what started as a childhood hobby into a lifelong pursuit of artistic growth.
