Hey everyone, I’m Max, 31, based in Oakville but born in Ukraine. I’ve been apart of the Warhammer community for over a decade, building, painting, and gaming since day one. Outside the hobby, I’m a coach and professional powerlifter, previously holding records. Whether it’s the tabletop or the platform, I’m all about pushing limits and sharing what I’ve learned along the way. I bring a lot of passion and out of the box thinking to any and all aspects of life. I can be known to be a wild card and just enjoy life , not everything needs to be serious and I tend to look at the funnier side of life. I was nicknamed “Giant” because I’m 6’3 (190cm) and usually sit between 275-300lbs, but ask anyone around I’m just a big teddy bear who talks smack to the ones I love but will always be in your corner.

While my introduction to Warhammer was far before Horus Heresy, it quickly become one of my favourite expansions to the Warhammer lore. Death Guard are and always will be my first Space Marine love, with Salamanders and Iron warriors in second, and White Scars not far behind. Heresy has allowed me to get into a more complex and involved style of play. Opening the door to lots of kitbashing and character creation along the way. Whether I have been slaughtering loyalists on Isstvan, or helping defend the imperial palace from traitor scum, Horus Heresy has a special place in my heart.

When I started my 40K journey, if someone had told me I would have multiple Age of Sigmar armies and enjoy the game, I would have called them crazy and laughed. Age of Sigmar has now taken over my shelves for multiple reasons. If you’ve never been introduced to Age of Sigmar - Spearhead, you are missing out greatly. With the launch of Vermintide and spearhead I am now able to play multiple games a week and always be rolling some dice, changing up playstyles and armies on the go as my mood changes. My major love will always be Seraphon but I do also collect all the Death armies and have a massive Maggotkin collection to boast.

Exercise and powerlifting became a passion of mine in my late teens. As someone who struggles with mental health, I needed to find a way to keep the demons at bay and lifting was my answer. I have had amazing success and stories in my decade long journey. I have competed in powerlifting at multiple events , placing 1st with a 705lbs/320kg beltless deadlift. I also cross compete in strongman , cause nothing is more fun than lifting heavy and then running with it. I have coached my own powerlifting team with all 4 of my athletes becoming national record holders across multiple weight classes. Do you like warhammer and lifting in a combo? Then we will get along famously, shoot me a DM anytime to chat gains and dice!
